Demolition FAQ
Licensed structural dismantling and property clearing for Oregon City, West Linn, Lake Oswego, Portland, and the surrounding metro area.
How do you estimate the cost of a demolition project?
Demolition is never one size fits all. Oregon Junk Busters, LLC provides project-based quotes calculated by structure size, material density, site access, labor needs, disposal requirements, and cleanup scope.
We offer on-site consultations to inspect access points, debris volume, safety concerns, and any utility-related issues before providing a final project bid.
Magnetic Site Sweeping &
Clean Site Finish
We do not just tear it down. Every demolition project includes jobsite cleanup with attention to nails, fasteners, metal debris, and loose material so the area is left cleaner and ready for the next phase of work.
Are you licensed for residential structural demolition?
Yes. Oregon Junk Busters, LLC is a licensed and insured contractor for demolition, dismantling, hauling, and related property services.

Hiring a licensed contractor helps protect your property during demolition, dismantling, debris removal, and structural teardown work.
How do you handle utility disconnects like electrical or water?
Safety is our priority. For structures with active utilities, such as hot tubs, sheds with power, outdoor kitchens, or structures with plumbing, all utilities should be properly capped or disconnected by the appropriate licensed professional before demolition begins.
During our review, we can help identify visible utility concerns and let you know what needs to be handled before teardown.
What happens to the salvaged building materials?
Whenever possible, we use a donation-first and recycling-focused approach. Reusable lumber, hardware, metal, fixtures, and other materials may be separated from the waste stream when conditions allow.
Not every demolition project produces reusable materials, but our goal is to reduce landfill impact whenever practical.
What types of demolition projects do you handle?
Oregon Junk Busters handles shed demolition, deck removal, fence teardown, hot tub dismantling, small structure removal, RV and camper disposal, mobile home dismantling, interior demolition, and demolition debris cleanup.
Larger or more complex projects may require an on-site review to confirm access, disposal needs, safety concerns, and whether permits or utility coordination are required.
Do I need a permit for demolition?
Permit requirements depend on the city, structure type, project scope, and whether utilities, foundations, or structural elements are involved.
Smaller teardowns like sheds, fences, decks, or hot tubs may not always require the same process as larger structures, but local rules can vary. We can help you understand what to check before work begins.
