Pricing
How much does junk removal cost in Portland?
Oregon Junk Busters prices by truck load — how much space your items take up in our 15-yard truck. Prices start at $150 for a minimum load (1/6 truck) and go up to $700 for a full truck. The six tiers are: $150 / $260 / $370 / $480 / $590 / $700.
Use our estimator to get your guaranteed price instantly before booking.
Do you charge by the hour or by the load?
We charge by the load — not by the hour. Your price is based on how much space your items take up in our truck. This means you always know your exact cost upfront, with no surprises based on how long the job takes.
Is the price really guaranteed?
Yes. The price you see in our estimator is your guaranteed price as long as the load matches your estimate. We confirm the price on-site before we start — if anything changes, we'll tell you before lifting a thing. No surprises on the invoice.
Are there any hidden fees — travel, fuel, stairs?
None. We don't charge travel fees, fuel surcharges, or extra for stairs and difficult access. Your price is 100% volume-based. We haul from any floor of the home — basement to attic — at no extra charge.
Do you offer a free estimate?
Yes — two ways. You can use our online estimator to get an instant guaranteed price, or you can text us a photo of your items at (503) 882-0704 and we'll give you a quote right away. For large or complex jobs, we also offer free in-person estimates.
Do you include a free mattress pickup?
Yes! Book any junk removal job with Oregon Junk Busters and we include one free mattress pickup at no extra charge. Just mention it when you call or book online — no promo code needed. Applies to all standard junk removal bookings across the Portland metro area.
Scheduling
Can you do same-day junk removal?
Yes — same-day pickup is frequently available across the Portland metro area. Call us at (503) 882-0704 in the morning and we can often be at your door the same day. Availability varies by day and location, so the earlier you call, the better.
How do I book an appointment?
Three ways: use our online estimator to get your price and book instantly through HouseCall Pro, call us at (503) 882-0704, or text us a photo of your items and we'll get back to you right away.
Do I need to be home for the pickup?
Not necessarily. As long as items are accessible — curbside, in the driveway, or through an unlocked gate — we can handle the removal and send you a digital confirmation once the area is cleared. We'll text you before and after photos so you can see the results.
What are your hours?
We operate Monday through Saturday, 9am–7pm. Call or text us at (503) 882-0704 to check same-day availability or schedule an appointment.
How much notice do you need?
As little as a few hours for same-day jobs, or you can book days or weeks in advance. We're flexible and work around your schedule. For large estate cleanouts or commercial jobs, a bit more lead time is appreciated.
What We Haul
What items do you remove?
We haul almost everything — furniture (sofas, mattresses, dressers, bed frames), appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves), electronics, yard debris, construction materials, hot tubs, exercise equipment, and general household junk. See our full item directory for the complete list.
Do you remove single items or do I need a full load?
We take single items. Our minimum charge is $150 which covers up to 1/6 of our 15-yard truck — so whether it's one couch or a full garage cleanout, we handle it. Use our estimator to see your exact price.
Do you haul from upstairs, basements, and tight spaces?
Yes — we do all the heavy lifting including upstairs bedrooms, basements, attics, and tight spaces. Stair carries are always included in the price at no extra charge. We also protect your floors and walls when navigating furniture through the home.
Do you remove hot tubs?
Yes — hot tub removal is one of our specialties. Hot tubs require a custom quote due to their size and the complexity of removal. Call us at (503) 882-0704 and we'll give you an honest price.
What items can't you haul?
We cannot haul hazardous materials including wet paint, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, pesticides, herbicides, asbestos, medical waste, sharps, or contaminated soil. For everything else — furniture, appliances, yard debris, construction materials, electronics — we've got you covered.
Do you remove construction debris?
Yes — drywall, lumber, roofing shingles, old flooring, windows, and general construction waste. Note that concrete, dirt, and heavy masonry are priced differently due to weight — call us for a custom quote on those items.
The Process
How does the process work start to finish?
It's simple: get your price using our online estimator or by calling us, book your appointment, and we show up on time. We confirm your price on-site before starting, haul everything away, sort for donation and recycling, and send you a confirmation when done. That's it.
Do I need to move items to the curb or driveway?
No — we go wherever the items are. Inside the house, upstairs, in the basement, in the backyard. You point, we haul. You don't need to lift a finger.
Will you sweep up after the job?
Yes — we leave every space broom clean. After haul-out we sweep the area and make sure nothing is left behind. We treat your property with the same care we'd want for our own home.
Do you send before and after photos?
Yes — if you're not home during the job, we text you before and after photos so you can see the results. We want you to feel confident the job is done right even if you weren't there to watch.
Disposal & Recycling
What happens to my items after you take them?
We follow a donation-first approach. Items in good condition go to local Oregon City and Portland-area charities. Everything else is sorted for metals, electronics recycling, and responsible disposal. What actually reaches the landfill is the bare minimum — it's part of who we are as a community-rooted business.
Do you donate items before hauling to the landfill?
Absolutely. Before anything leaves your property, we evaluate it for its next best life. We maintain partnerships with local donation centers and recycling hubs across Oregon City and Portland. If your junk can be someone else's treasure, we make sure it gets there.
Do you recycle electronics and appliances?
Yes — we responsibly recycle TVs, computers, monitors, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other appliances. Electronics and appliances contain materials that shouldn't go to the landfill, and we make sure they don't.
Are you an environmentally responsible company?
Yes — it's a core part of our business. We donate before disposing, recycle before dumping, and treat every load as an opportunity to keep useful materials out of the landfill. As a woman-owned, locally operated business, we feel a real responsibility to the communities and environment we work in.
Service Area
What areas do you serve?
We serve 20 cities across the Portland metro area including Portland, Oregon City, Beaverton, Gresham, Happy Valley, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Tualatin, West Linn, Wilsonville, Milwaukie, Gladstone, Canby, Estacada, Sandy, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Newberg, Clackamas, and Aloha.
Do you charge extra for travel to cities outside Oregon City?
Never. Our pricing is 100% volume-based — it doesn't matter if you're in Newberg or Gresham. The price is the same everywhere we serve. No travel fees, no fuel surcharges.
Do you serve Sandy and the Mount Hood corridor?
Yes — we make the drive out to Sandy, Boring, Welches, and the surrounding Mount Hood corridor regularly. Most haulers won't go that far, but we do. Call us at (503) 882-0704 to check availability.
Do you serve rural properties and acreage?
Yes — we're experienced with rural and semi-rural properties throughout the Portland metro and surrounding Clackamas County. Large lots, outbuildings, detached shops, and acreage cleanouts are all handled. Call and describe your job and we'll give you an honest price.
